Springvale's Shield range of thermal insulating boards has led the way, providing effective solutions from below ground to the apex of the roof in applications from the largest civil engineering contracts to bespoke one-off houses. As it's 98% air, it's incredibly light but it's also exceptionally strong and is proven in the most punishing of civil engineering applications. This inherent strength means it can support, for example, road and railway structures with complete ease.

It is also uniquely versatile, as demonstrated effectively by Clayshield, a compressible fill that lines the edges of deep trench or strip foundations to expand and contract, taking up the stresses caused by clay heave.

And, with the introduction of ever more stringent requirements of the Building Regulations, Springvale has once more led the way, through the development of our Platinum range of products - EPS with an added graphite constituent called Neopor - which provides even better insulation values while remaining the most cost-effective insulant available.
